Last minute U-turn from the Ivorian?

Ivory Coast midfielder Yaya Toure's future looks set to be resolved shortly with Sport reporting that Barcelona have almost concluded a deal with Manchester City, however the players agent has now claimed that Toure's preference is to remain at Camp Nou.

It is understood that the Spanish champions will receive an initial fee of between €25-27 million for the 27-year-old with other variables depending on his performance with the Citizens.

Dimitri Seluk, Toure's representative has told COM Radio that even though talks are progressing "very well" with the Premier League outfit, the player would prefer to stay with Barca and declared that he will be speaking to incoming president Sandro Rosell before completing the move to City.

"I will talk to him [Rosell] before closing the transaction to know his opinion. We all want to stay and everything is fine except one thing: playing 65 per cent of the minutes. That's not enough for a player of his category. "
