The new Barca president has argued that Barca are not in financial straits despite a €150 million credit extension and 15% rise in ticket prices...

Marca is reporting that Barcelona's financial obligations have obliged the Catalan giants to seek a €150 million credit extension as revealed by new president Sandro Rosell. But the chief also denied any sort of financial stress for the Catalan club, declaring that the club continues to "generate revenue and will exercise other means" to correct its balance sheet.

In addition to the extra credit that the Barca president solicited the Barca board of directors, the club will also increase its ticket prices for club members by 15% over the course of the next five years, indicating some underlying financial stresses at the club.

To alleviate this tension, Barca have already looked to recoup some liquidity, having sold off defender Dmytro Chygrynskiy to Shakhtar Donetsk and arriving upon new terms of agreement with television partners Mediapro.

In the next few days, Rosell is scheduled to visit South Africa, during which time he will meet with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger in an attempt to negotiate the signing of talismanic captain Cesc Fabregas, for which Rosell has already declared that he "will not pay €50-70m".

Rosell also explained that while an agreement had not been solidified with coach Pep Guardiola, an accord to keep the Catalan coach at Barca for at least another two seasons will soon be finalised. With respect to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Barca president confirmed that no offers have yet come in for the Swedish striker and also dispelled rumours that the club is interested in Robinho of Manchester City or Valencia's Juan Mata.

Finally, with respect to the Barca players currently finishing loan deals (Hleb, Caceres, Keirrison, and Henrique), Rosell confirmed that the club has received offers to continue those loans to different clubs while also explaining that Yaya Toure's departure for Manchester City could not be avoided as "the player had already made his decision".
